  • Material: natural prehnite gemstone
  • Stock: limited, individual pieces

Prehnite is a pale, translucent mineral with a colour that sits somewhere between mint, sage, and the first green of spring — cool, quiet, and unmistakably alive. It is one of the few gemstones that seems to hold light rather than simply reflect it, giving each piece a soft inner glow that is entirely its own.

Color: Soft celadon to apple green, often with a gentle translucency and occasional inclusions of epidote or actinolite that add depth and character. Some pieces carry a faint golden warmth; others lean toward a cooler, glassy clarity.

Energy: Prehnite is known as the stone of unconditional love and the healer’s healer. It is said to enhance precognition and inner knowing, calm the environment, and bring peace to restless minds. Associated with the heart and solar plexus chakras, it encourages trust — in oneself, in others, and in the unfolding of life.

✦ First described in 1788 and named after Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, the Dutch mineralogist who brought it to Europe from South Africa, prehnite holds the distinction of being the first mineral named after a person. It is found today in Australia, China, Mali, and the United States, among other locations.

Prehnite does not demand attention. It simply offers it — quietly, consistently, and without condition.
