Thulite
Natural thulite cabochons.
Thulite is a stone of unabashed warmth — rosy, generous, and alive with a colour that feels less like geology and more like an emotion given mineral form.
Color: Deep dusty rose to vivid raspberry-pink, often veined with white or pale grey calcite that softens its intensity without diminishing it — a palette that is simultaneously bold and tender, striking without effort.
Energy: A stone of joy, sensuality, and extroverted love, thulite opens the heart to pleasure — in connection, in creativity, in the simple, radical act of enjoying being alive. It encourages sociability, self-expression, and the courage to be seen fully, making it a particularly powerful stone for those who have learned to make themselves smaller than they are.
✦ Thulite takes its name from Thule — the ancient Greek and Roman term for the northernmost reaches of the known world, a mythic land beyond the edges of maps. It was first discovered in Norway in 1820, and Norway remains its primary source to this day. It is a variety of zoisite — the same mineral family as tanzanite and the matrix of zoisite ruby — coloured pink by trace amounts of manganese, and considered Norway's national gemstone.
Let thulite remind you that joy is not a reward for having earned it — it is your birthright, available to you now, exactly as you are.
